Man brings 700 coats, hoodies to HVAF of Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A northwestern Indiana man made a big difference Friday for homeless veterans this winter.

He delivered 700 coats and hoodies to the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Fund in Indianapolis. It was part of a coat drive Johnny Boersma organizes every year.

Boersma said the drives are usually on a smaller scale but he felt inspired by HVAF after researching the organization, so he made flyers and put the word out on social media to get donations.
