Man hit, killed by semi on southwest side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man is dead after being hit by a semi on the city’s southwest side Wednesday night, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
IMPD said officers responded to the area of South Harding Street and West Hanna Avenue just before 11:30 p.m. for an accident with injury.
Police said the driver of the semi was heading south on Harding Street when the man crossed into the street. The driver was unable to stop in time.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
