INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A crash injured one person and closed eastbound lanes of I-70 near Meridian Street Monday afternoon.

The Indianapolis Fire Department responded around 4:45 p.m. to a crash involving a car, pickup truck and sem at mile marker 80.

Witnesses told firefighters that the pickup truck driver, a 79-year-old man, rear-ended the car, pushing the car underneath the semi.

A 25-year-old man from Michigan had to be extricated from the car and is in serious condition Monday evening, according to IFD.

The Napa semi driver was identified as David Lee Pittman, 42, who was working for Raylock Merchanside Deliver Service. He was headed to Pennsylvania from Indianapolis. The trailer was filled with auto parts.
