MCPO helps parents keep kids safe online

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Marion county Prosecutor’s Office wants to make sure parents have the information necessary to protect their children online.

On Monday night, they held a free internet safety program at a church on the northwest side. It’s called ‘Project Cybersafe.’

Speakers from the prosecutor’s office addressed all sort of dangerous online behavior from oversharing to cyber bullying.

All of which, attorneys say, can have both legal and social repercussions.

The presentation of the program was aimed at parents and teachers.

The program also has a version specifically designed to educate kids in fourth to sixth grades.
