Model train exhibit pulls into Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The 2016 annual National Train Show is in Indianapolis for one last day.

Families can enjoy the world’s largest collection of model train exhibits, products, and accessories at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

The exhibit covers 180,000 sq. feet of space and includes 44,000 sq. feet of model train displays. Also, a 2,500 sq. feet area is dedicated to Lego MiniLand. The area features hundreds of train cars, various landscape settings and waterfalls, scale buildings, retractable bridges, and more created with Lego pieces.

The 2016 National Train Show also has hands-on demonstrations in which people can learn how to get started on with model railroads and can learn the latest techniques from well-known exhibitors.

Ticket prices are below (subject to change):

  • Ages 6 and under: Free
  • Ages 6 – 12: $7
  • Ages 13 – 17: $10
  • Adults (18 – 65): $14
  • Seniors (65+): $13
