Moped driver dies after crash in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — Police say a Columbus man is dead after a moped crash on State Road 11.
According to 24-Hour News 8’s partners at The Republic, 51-year-old Allen W. Posey was heading southbound on SR 11 near Kenmill Street when he lost control of his moped and crossed the center line.
Police say Posey struck a vehicle traveling northbound driven by 61-year-old Deborah K. Johnson of Columbus.
Posey was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital and later transferred to IU Health Methodist Hospital where he died of his injuries.
