GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WISH) — Sheriff deputies in Putnam County responded to “the most midwestern Indiana police call ever” on Saturday — a cow walking on the interstate.

According to a Facebook post from the county’s sheriff, a section of the interstate was shut down to retrieve the bull.

Two motorists with farming experience stopped and helped the responding officers, the post said.

After an hour of chasing the cow, the officers were able to return him to his pasture.

“No charges at this time for the bull,” the post said.
