Noblesville firefighters collecting toys, canned goods for the holidays

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — The Noblesville Fire Department is hosting its 44th annual food and toy drive.

Firefighters ask that you donate non-perishable food items such as peanut butter and canned goods.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Hamilton County grows in population every year. One in four residents live in low income neighborhoods in and around Indianapolis.

“We’re able to help over 100 families here in Noblesville,” Mayor Chris Jensen said. “But we know this drive is really only scratching the surface.”

On top of food items, children’s clothes for ages 5 to 10 are also a needed item.

The Noblesville Fire Department works with the Good Samaritan Network to identify families in need during the holidays.

You have until Dec. 6 to donate at any of the seven Noblesville Fire Department locations or at city hall.
