INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – According to police, one pedestrian on I-74 westbound near mile marker 70.6 was struck just after 10 p.m. Sunday evening.
The vehicle that struck the female victim then continued westbound on the interstate.
A witness in the area at the time of the incident, described the vehicle as a dark colored passenger vehicle.
Authorities believe the vehicle involved in the crash probably incurred damage to the front passenger side.
The pedestrian who was struck was transported to the hospital with broken bones, a cut on the upper thigh, and a bruised lung.
