Pet Pals TV: Artist Rob Day features cats in parody portrait

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Patty Spitler, the host of Pet Pals TV, stopped by the studio on Thursday with Indianapolis-based artist Rob Day to highlight Day’s work that can now be seen downtown.

Day’s work has been featured in many publications including Sports Illustrated, GQ, Esquire, and Rolling Stone, just to name a few. His pieces range in subject matter, but one piece in particular can now be found downtown as part of the Swish live music and performance series.

A 15-foot reproduction of the work titled “Mona With Cats” has been installed at 10 W. Washington St. for visitors to enjoy. It will remain on display throughout the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

The mural is one of 50 others that have been installed downtown for Swish. Click here for a guide to all 50 murals.
