INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every week Pets Pals TV shares a fun and exciting story about our four-legged and furry friend population.
This time Patty Spitler met with David Horth, the newest CEO of the Humane Society of Indianapolis. He took over the head job in January of 2019, but he’s served on the board of directors for 17 years.
It’s his passion to help pets get adopted.
“The thrilling part of this job is when dogs and cats get adopted and they go to new homes and they’re going to give love and receive love, that’s where the true satisfaction comes from,” said Horth.
Horth said at any given time IndyHumane has between 300 and 400 in the building.
Patty also previewed a dog-walking spectacle that will be coming to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway — the IndyHumane Mutt Strut.
