Pet Pals TV: Oinking Acres

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Each and every week Pet Pals TV shares a fun, interesting and informative story about our four-legged and furry friend population.

This week, host Patty Spitler didn’t bring in a dog or a cat. Instead, she brought in a pig named Possum and talked about Oinking Acres, a nonprofit rescue and sanctuary.

Olivia Head with Oinking Acres said it’s important for people to adopt animals like pigs, who often get overlooked.

“Our main focus is the rescue and rehabilitation of pot belly pigs,” said Head. “We have other farm animals such as ducks, chickens and goats.”
