Pet Pals TV: Pet Dental Health
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Patty Spitler, the host of Pet Pals TV, stopped by Midday on Thursday to talk about the importance of dental health in pets.
February is National Pet Dental Health Month and just like with humans, dental health in pets can affect their overall health.
Some fast facts of pet dental health include:
- 85% of pets have dental issues by year 3
- 60% of tooth lies beneath gum line
- Bad breath is not normal
- Dental cleaning involves anesthesia
- Cats have dental problems too
