INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every week Patty Spitler shares a fun, interesting and informative story about our four-legged and furry friend population.

Weekend Daybreak anchor Brenna Donnelly is a guest on this week’s show. She talked with Patty about her recent trip to Africa and where she rescued rhinos worked to help capture poachers.

“We found a rhino, tranquilized her and then put a microchip in her horn so that we can track if she’s poached,” said Donnelly.

The process doesn’t injure animals and helps researchers in their goal to prevent poaching.
