Pop-up food distribution set this week at 3 churches in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Office of Public Health and Safety and Indianapolis’ Public Works have joined Midwest Food Bank, grassroots partner B4UFALL and local churches to announce pop-up, food distribution sites.
They will provide produce and dairy items to families in need during the state’s “stay at home” order for the COVID-19 epidemic. Sites will be open 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and Friday and from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.
Here are the distribution sites:
- Hovey Street Church of Christ, 2338 Hovey St.
- Barnes United Methodist Church, 900 W. 30th St.
- Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 N. Goodlet Ave.
Future pop-up distribution sites are to be determined and will be announced in advance of distribution.
