Republic Airways hosts 9th annual plane pull to raise money for children’s charities

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Every year teams from local organizations and businesses play tug-of-war with a 24-ton commerical airplane!

The Republic Airways Plane Pull event raises money to help kids diagnosed with a life-threatening or terminal illness.

This year marks the 9th year the event has been held. More than $2 million has been raised through the plane pull for children’s charities since 2011.

Indy Style’s Tracy Forner spent some time at the indianapolis International airport covering the event Saturday.
