Rev Indy chefs serve lunch at Wheeler Mission

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — People at Wheeler Mission got a special lunch on Monday.

Four local chefs cooked up 125 meals. Normally, the chefs would be preparing for the annual Rev Indy event, which was set for this Saturday.

That’s been pushed to July. Fifth Third Bank sponsored the meal as part of a mission to focus on food stability.

“Food insecurity is really critical in our communities, especially over the last two years where we’ve seen with the pandemic. What we want to do is we want to provide some stability in our communities. Food is really the foundational stability that we can provide,” Mike Ash, regional president of Fifth Third Bank.

The chefs were from several popular restaurants.
