South side Scotty’s Brewhouse closes

SOUTHPORT, Ind. (WISH) – Another Scotty’s Brewhouse location has shut its doors.

The Scotty’s Brewhouse at 4350 Southport Crossing Drive has announced they have closed for good.

In announcing their move, the organization put out the following statement:

“Regretfully, the owner of the managed Scotty’s Brewhouse location on Southport Road made the unfortunate decision to permanently close immediately. This was not a decision of Scotty’s Brewhouse Corporate, and we will do all we can to assist the affected employees. As we stated yesterday, as part of the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, we continue to conduct due diligence with the intention of minimizing any further retraction.”

The announcement follows the closure of several other Scotty’s locations over the past several months.

Four restaurants were shut down in December. The company filed for bankruptcy that same month.

A lawsuit filed in January claimed that founder Scott Wise defrauded investors.
