Storm Track 8 adds two meteorologists

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Storm Track 8, central Indiana’s certified most-accurate forecasting team, is adding two members.

Ashley Brown is joining as Chief Meteorologist.

Brown, an Indianapolis native, is returning home after working at WLWT in Cincinnati. Brown attended North Central High School and Ball State University. Brown previously worked for WRTV, WXIN and KSEQ.

Brown’s family and friends are all here in Indianapolis and she looks forward to getting involved in the community and working with all her new colleagues here at WISH-TV.

Also joining Storm Track 8 is Tara Hastings.

Hastings joins WISH-TV from our sister station WDTN in Dayton, Ohio. 

Hastings is also an Indiana native. 

She was born and raised in Hammond, Indiana and graduated from Valparaiso University. She’s been with WDTN for the past eight years.

“We’re excited to welcome Ashley and Tara back home again to Indiana, and to our Storm Track 8 team,” said Randy Ingram, vice president and general manager of WISH-TV. “Both of these meteorologists bring experience and a background of forecasting weather in the very unpredictable Midwest.”

Brown starts with Storm Track 8 on Dec. 3. Hastings joins on Dec. 8.
