Swayzee woman killed in Howard County crash

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ind. (WISH) — A Swayzee woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Howard County Tuesday afternoon, according to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and medics were called to the intersection of 100 North and 800 East in Liberty Township around 12:40 p.m. on reports of crash. That’s east of Kokomo and just north of Greentown.

When they arrived to the scene they found a black 2011 GMC SUV had struck a utility pole and rolled several times. The driver of the SUV, Stacy Hall, 56, of Swayzee, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hall was traveling westbound before her vehicle left the roadway to the north for an unknown reason, authorities said.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
