Video: Woman on scooter hits, damages parked car and flees scene

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – A woman riding a scooter in Johnson County ran into a parked car, damaging it and then left the scene, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say the incident took place on June 24 just before 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of White Oak Lane.

Surveillance footage shows a man and a woman with blonde hair riding scooters together. The man can been seen turning around in the court and begins proceeding down the street.

However, as the woman turns around and attempts to follow the male driver, she runs into the driver’s door of a vehicle parked along the street. 

The collision knocks her off the scooter and onto the ground. The man is spotted coming back to the scene as both the male and female examine the vehicle for a short period time and then leave the scene.

As a result of the scooter striking the vehicle, the vehicle’s front quarter panel and the driver’s door.

This case is under investigation.
