Water main breaks close parts of College Avenue, Franklin Road; Park Tudor School closed Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Parts of College Avenue and Franklin Road are closed after separate water main breaks Wednesday afternoon.

According to Citizens Energy Group, College Avenue between 71st and 75th streets while repairs are being made to a broken water main. The 12-inch diameter cast iron main was installed in 1940.

UPDATE: Park Tudor School announced on its website and in a tweet that the school will be closed Thursday due to the water main break.

North Franklin Road is closed between East 33rd and East 34th streets as Citizens repairs a broken 12-inch-diameter cast iron water main.

Repairs on both water mains are expected to last through Wednesday evening. Both roads are anticipated to be open in time for the Thursday morning commute.
