Woman injured after pumpkin thrown from overpass crashes vehicle in northern Indiana

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind, (WISH) — Police are investigating after a woman crashed her vehicle as a result of being struck by a pumpkin that was thrown from above. 

It happened around 9:35 p.m. when 64-year-old Susan Brown crashed into a ditch while she was driving eastbound on Indiana Toll Road after a pumpkin was thrown onto her windshield from the North Goldring Road overpass.

The woman suffered minor injuries. 

The incident is the second time an object was thrown at this location and the third in the area since November 7. All incidents occurred later in the evening, according to police.
