YMCA hosting free swimming safety classes

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Inaugural Indy Water Safety Week will kick off on June 13, but with Memorial Day right around the corner families are already out on the lakes. 

Chelsea Walls with the YMCA stopped by the Daybreak studios to discuss the best practices for water safety.

Walls said the Indy YMCAs have several events coming up to promote water safety, including free swimming lessons.

Walls explained the YMCA has partnered with different agencies throughout the city in order to promote and provide various events for water safety awareness.
