Looking at the tax season, refunds and tax bills

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The new tax laws have made for a tax season that’s been a little confusing.

Early returns are showing the average family will have a smaller tax bill.

However, they also show the average refund is about 20 percent lower than 2017.

Todd Roberson from the IU Kelley School of Business stopped by Daybreak Friday.

He discussed the new tax laws and whether it’s better to get a big refund check or have more in your paycheck each month.
