Carl Hill convicted in deadly crash

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has been convicted in a double-fatal 2018 Speedway crash, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.

The prosecutor’s office says Carl Hill was found guilty on April 1 of reckless homicide for the March 24, 2018, crash that resulted in the death of Donna Rosebrough and her mother, Nola Spears.

Hill had been charged with a second count of reckless homicide, but the prosecutor’s office said the jury was unable to reach a verdict on that count. However, before the new trail started, Hill pleaded guilty to the second count of reckless homicide and the habitual offender sentence enhancement.

The fatal crash happened at the intersection of Crawfordsville Road and Lynhurst Drive.

The prosecutor’s office says video surveillance shows a Trailblazer driven by Hill ran a red light traveling westbound when it struck the victims’ vehicle.

It’s believed Hill’s vehicle was going nearly 90 mph in a 40 mph zone.
