Man dies after early-morning shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man died after being shot early Sunday in the 1300 block of West 27th Street, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police were called to the scene around 6 a.m.
The man, who was reportedly shot in the chest, was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital and later died.
Police say they have no suspects in custody and are still investigating the incident. One or more people of interest has been identified and IMPD does not believe it was a random act.
