Man dies after NE side shooting, police investigating
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man is dead following a shooting on the city’s northeast side Saturday night.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to 30th Street and N. Sherman Drive around 10:45 p.m Saturday.
After arriving on scene, 51-year-old Leroy Brown was discovered in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds.
At the time Brown was then transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, he was in critical condition. Soon after being taken to the hospital, Brown was upgraded and said to have been in serious condition.
However, police said Brown’s condition took a turn for the worse and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No suspect information has been released.
