Man found dead with gunshot wound on north side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound on the north side of the city Sunday morning.

Officers arrived to an apartment in the 7600 block of Woodmore Trace around 11:35 a.m. to find 37-year-old Chaz Bennington with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
