Man shot, killed on city’s southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A man was shot and killed on the city’s southwest side.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Dispatch, the shooting happened in the 5900 block of Milhouse Court just after 9 p.m. Monday evening.

Police initially revived a call about a person down in the roadway.  After arriving on scene, officers discovered a male on the ground suffering from trauma to the upper body.

Emergency crews pronounced the victim deceased on scene.  Police have identified the victim as 19-year-old Steven Hunter of Indianapolis.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide. No suspect information is known at this time.
