Martin University announces new school of education

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Martin University announced a new school of education is coming next year.
The university’s president says is is looking to recruit students wanting to become pre-K to 5th grade teachers.
Martin University also announced the creation of a new education zone in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood.
Officials say the education zone project is now in its planning stages. The program will start operating by January 2018.
