Martinsville man arrested on child porn charges

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — A 40-year-old man is facing child pornography and drug charges after state police served a search warrant Thursday at his Martinsville home. 

Shandy C. Freeman was arrested at his home in the 1600 block of East Harrison Street, Indiana State Police said in a news release. The home is northwest of the intersection of East Morgan Street and Hospital Drive.

He faces four counts of possession of child pornography, a count of possession of methamphetamine and a count of possession of marijuana. It was unclear if formal charges have been filed; online court records did not show a case for Freeman on the charges listed by state police. 

State police worked with law enforcement in Martinsville and Indianapolis on the case, the release said. 

Freeman was not listed Thursday night as an inmate in an Indiana jail, according to online records.
