INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Every day there are new reports of positive coronavirus cases and deaths related to the virus.
People all around the world, the country and in Indiana have been affected by the virus.
On Wednesday, WISH-TV’s medical reporter Dr. Mary Gillis, D. Ed. was on Midday to discuss the virus.
She talked about a study that said the coronavirus has actually mutated into two different strands – Type L and Type S.
The study showed type L came from type S with type L being more prevalent and aggressive of the two.
A mutation of a virus can also affect the kind of treatment. Luckily, according to health experts, the coronavirus mutates much more slowly than other viruses.
