New report shows states with greatest upticks, sharpest falls in COVID-19 cases

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – New data shows three states with the highest increase in COVID-19 cases along with those showing the sharpest decline. 

On Monday, Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed., discussed which states are on the rise and which ones are on the fall. Some states saw as much as a 36% drop in cases compared to previous data.

Other states saw as high as a 134% increase. 

Gillis also talked about where Indiana fits in among these states and why doctors predict upticks and downticks are likely to change as virus restrictions lift.
