INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It was a quiet start to the morning Monday with a cloudy sky and muggy conditions.

WEATHER: Check the Storm Track 8 radar

Showers and storm activity began to develop Tuesday afternoon with some heavy rain makers predicted. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Indianapolis and points south through Tuesday afternoon.

Scattered storms will continue overnight and through the morning on Tuesday with an additional 1-2 inches of rain by Tuesday afternoon. Highs will warm to the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Wednesday will start off on the drier side with a few rays of sunshine. Rain won’t be far away though with more scattered showers and storms through the afternoon. Storm storms will be on the stronger side through the later part of the day. Rain chances will continue through the day on Thursday with highs in the upper 70s.

By the end of the week we should dry out. Friday looks to stay dry for most of the day with highs warming to the mid 80s with a mostly cloudy sky.

We will have a short-lived break from the rain with scattered showers and storms returning Saturday with highs in the lower 80s.
