Muggy with storms for Memorial Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– It’s been a warm and muggy afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms have popped in southern Indiana. In fact a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9pm for areas south of Indy.

Skies stay partly cloudy this evening with just an isolated shower chance. It’s going to be mild and muggy with lows staying in the 60s.

Clouds return overnight and we’ll see a dry start Monday. Any early morning services will be dry. Look for mostly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 80s.

Showers and thunderstorms pop later in the afternoon. Some of the thunderstorms may be on the stronger side. The Storm Prediction Center has much of Indiana under a slight risk.

Tuesday looks dry with partly cloudy skies. It’s going to be warm and muggy with highs in the low to middle 80s.

Rain returns Wednesday and Thursday. Highs fall back in to the middle to upper 70s for the middle and end of the work week.
