An Italian company has designed a new standing airline “seat.” They Skyrider 3.0 is the newest version of the standing seat concept.
It looks similar to a bicycle seat but has back support attached.
The company that manufactured the seat, Aviointeriors, says it’s not aimed at cramming more passengers into planes. They want to give travelers another option called “ultra-basic economy.”
Aviointeriors says it’s getting some interest in the product but not orders yet. The seats currently do not fit the specifications of some common passenger jets.
