Body of missing 14-year-old Ohio boy found on farm in shallow grave

CARROLL COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — Authorities said the body of missing 14-year-old Jonathan Minard was found Friday morning, buried on a farm in Ohio.

Minard was reported missing the evening of April 14. After searching all week, Carroll County Sheriff Dale Williams said Minard’s body was found around 10:15 a.m. Friday morning in a shallow grave.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.

Minard was last seen on Saturday, April 13 wihle at a farm in New Harrisburg to help with milking and was supposed to call his mom to pick him up, WKYC reports. His mom said he never called. 

Police said a “person of interest” has been questioned in the case, but no arrests have been made. Officials did not say if his death is being considered a homicide or if there are currently any suspects.
