Mysterious car found dangling from bridge over busy roadway

TORONTO (WFLA) — Police in Canada are trying to solve a mystery after a car was found dangling from a bridge on Wednesday.

Investigators say a blue sedan was spotted dangling from a rope over one of Toronto’s busiest arteries.

Video taken from a helicopter shows the car slowly spinning in the wind just about 650 feet above the road. The rope holding the car was only tied to two of the bridge’s beams.

The inside of the car appeared to be burned out. Windows were also missing.

At first, authorities believed the stunt was for a movie shoot but they later said there was no filming authorized. Officials also said the city had not issued a permit.

Firefighters eventually managed to safely drop the car down to the ground.
