‘Pet Pals TV’: Dog Aging Project

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Dog Aging Project is giving new meaning to the saying “A dog is man’s best friend.”

The $23 million initiative — jointly operated by the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, and the University of Washington School of Medicine — is studying the health of tens of thousands of dogs, in hope of helping dogs and humans live healthier, happier lives.

A report from Steve Sweitzer of “Pet Pals TV” aired on Saturday’s “Daybreak” with News 8’s Brenna Donnelly and “Pet Pals TV” host Patty Spitler.

“Pet Pals TV” airs at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays on WISH-TV. Learn more at PetPalsTV.com.
