Police believe men stole plane before deadly crash

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police troopers identified the two people located near a wrecked aircraft on Wednesday.

KSP identified the men as 47-year-old Barry A. Hill and 48-year-old George Tucker of Sanford, North Carolina.

Neither men were certified pilots, KSP said.

The private Bellanca 17-30A aircraft is believed to have been stolen or its use is believed to have been unauthorized, according to authorities.

The private aircraft was believed to have been taken from the Rome, North Carolina area
