Police find gun hidden in man’s butt during strip search

LOUISIANA (KRON) – Deputies at a Louisiana Jail found a gun hidden in the buttocks of a man who was arrested after officers found a “zip gun” and silencer in his truck, WGNO reports.

Officers with the Golden Meadow Police Department were investigating suspicious activity at the home of Lori Dupuy on Dec. 28.

When officers approached Dupuy, she gave a false name and fled the scene.

Officers then questioned Justin Savoie, who was also at the home.

During a pat down of Savoie, officers found a concealed handgun, marijuana, and a pipe used for smoking marijuana, WGNO says.

Officers also located a homemade “zip gun” in his truck and several additional firearms and homemade suppressors inside the vehicle.

While Savoie was undergoing a strip search during processing into the Lafourche Parish Jail, deputies found a small gun concealed in his butt.

The caliber and make of the gun has not been released.

Savoie was charged with first offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony charge of taking contraband to penal institution, and a felony charge of improper registration of a firearm.

He was released after posting a $10,600 bond.

According to WGNO, Dupuy is still at large and is wanted on two active warrants issued by Probation & Parole and the Golden Meadow Police Department.
