Starbucks launches mobile order and pay feature

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Starbucks customers can soon get their coffee faster than ever before.

The company announced this week that Mobile Order & Pay on iOS and Android devices is now available nationwide. It’s a new feature on the Starbucks mobile app that allows customers to find a store, place their order, get an estimated time for when their order will be ready and pay for the order all before arriving at the store.

Over the past several months, the company has tested the concept around the U.S. and says it’s been successful. The feature is now available on both iOS and Android devices to use at more than 7,400 Starbucks locations.

The company says it plans to introduce the feature in select company-owned stores in the UK and Canada in October.
