Study: Health officials might not be giving the whole e-cig story

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new study found most teens are choosing fruity flavors in their e-cigarettes, not nicotine.

The study is raising big questions about how health officials are portraying the threat of e-cigs.

The study comes from the University of Michigan.

Between 13 to 20 percent of teens say they choose nicotine, with the highest percentages in older teens.

Health officials say Nicotine is considered harmful to the developing teenage brain, but the study found that most teens aren’t vaping nicotine at all.
