Neighborhood beautification project complete

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A neighborhood improvement project in Indianapolis is complete.

Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard helped cut the ribbon to officially open the Emerson Avenue Corridor Gateway on Wed.

It was an improvement project that Community Health Network had invested more than $2 million into, to help beautify the neighborhood.

There are trees and flowers in the median, the sidewalks are new and the road has been repaved.

“This is the first of many projects that I hope, will bring communities together and create a sense of pride for where people live,” said Ballard.

The Corridor is on Emerson Avenue. It starts at 16th Street and ends at 21st Street.
