New Castle couple jailed on drug, neglect charges

NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WISH) – A New Castle couple was arrested on felony drug charges this week in a home where police say children were present.

Police served a search warrant late Tuesday night in the 700 block of Kentland Avenue on the north side of New Castle.

Officers arrested 38-year-old Joshua Pierce and 37-year-old Sally Pierce and preliminarily charged them with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

The couple also faces neglect charges because two children under the age of 14 were there. They were removed from the home by the Division of Child Services.

Joshua and Sally Pierce were booked into the Henry County Jail.
