New Facebook app to push breaking news out to users
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new Facebook app is in the works to send breaking news notifications to your phone.
According to a Business Insider Report, the social media giant’s new app would send out short breaking news alerts with links.
Users would subscribe to the news feeds they’re interested in and when breaking news happen, those news outlets would be able to push their coverage through Facebook.
The app is reportedly in its early stages, but analysts believe it could be Facebook’s way to displace Twitter as a news source.
