INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — There’s a new fitness option in downtown Indianapolis. It’s called The Barre Code and the grand opening is set for this weekend.
The fitness facility is part of the redevelopment of the former Milano Inn restaurant building. Located at 231 S. College Ave, The Barre Code has two group fitness rooms, a kids playroom, locker rooms, and an outdoor fitness area.
The Barre Code does offer barre fitness classes, but also has cardio kickboxing, full mind and body restoration, and HIIT classes, which stands for high intensity interval training. Owner Jennifer Chow told News 8 she became a master instructor for The Barre Code while living in Chicago and wanted to bring the same fitness options to downtown Indianapolis.
The grand opening begins Saturday, June 2 at 8:30 a.m. with free classes throughout the morning. There is also an outdoor total body conditioning class at 11 a.m. and there will be free food and prizes at the event.
