New stay-at-home test kit gets FDA emergency authorization
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The FDA approved a new stay-at-home testing kit for emergency authorization. The new test is more comfortable, convenient and safer, said FDA Commissioner, Dr. Stephen Hahn.
On Wednesday, Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed., discussed the new testing kit and how it compares to previous ones. She also talked about why these tests are considered safer for those potentially infected with the cornonavirus.
Gillis also warned of fake testing kits still being sold on the market. Currently, this is the only reliable test on the market with emergency approval.
