New study suggests promising new evidence for COVID-19 antiviral drug remdesivir
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new study indicates significant progress toward discovering an antiviral drug to combat COVID-19.
On Wednesday, WISH-TV’s medical reporter, Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed., discussed research outcomes related to biopharmaceutical company Gilead’s drug: remdesivir. The drug was initially developed to fight Ebola.
Gillis also talked about study findings and why this could be the most important evidence in terms of coronavirus antiviral drug testing to date.
